Nice French restaurant in Brookland, DC, if you want to avoid going downtown or to the usual hangout areas. Food is delicious. A bit pricey but worth it. The French toast was great!
One of the worst dining experiences I've had in DC. You're greeted with a cutesy note when you sit down blaming the price of eggs (which have gone down to below-normal prices) for an automatic 20% service charge. They make it very clear that despite caring about their staff, this is NOT A TIP. I ordered the duck and like other reviewers, it's laughable. It's $35 (including the 20% fee) and had six quarter-sized pieces of duck, two of which were basically raw and felt unsafe to eat. I counted 11 french fries on the plate and nothing else. Dinner was ultimately $95 for two tiny entrees and a non-alcoholic drink and I left hungrier than when I went in. I went home at 930 and had to cook myself dinner. Service was inattentive and evidently too busy chatting with people at the bar to check in on us. And, I recognize how small and seemingly petty this seems, but if you're going to charge nearly $40 for an entree (including the 20% fee), paper napkins are unacceptable.
Cute little french inspired brunch spot in NE DC. A nice alternative to the craziness of the dc brunch scene. The menu is small but tasty.
LOVED this place! Everything was fabulous. All the employees were so nice, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is 10/10! Will definitely be returning!
amazing cauliflower dish and mac and cheese was pretty great as well. i didn't have the rissoto or Lamb dish, but i heard it was delicious.
We celebrated our anniversary in this welcoming restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant had a neighborhood vibe but big city menu. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of French onion soup with a fantastic crust and no sogginess, steak and halibut were cooked just right. They also made sure to accommodate my allergies. Dessert was yummy to finish out the meal. Plus they offer a nice variety of tasty wines. Highly recommended and it was so relaxing.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasing. They have a good mix of meals prepared in-house and lots of good appetizers to get the meal started. They also offer some unique cocktails that go very well with all of the meals. The service was great and we left satisfied with the overall experience.
Great brunch spot. Came here for my sisters birthday and it did not disappoint. Food was great, and served fast. We got the biscuits and honey butter as an appetizer. It was good but the biscuits are very small. The French Toast was on point, thick, not soggy, with berries and a fresh whipped cream. The potato hash and salmon eggs Benedict also got high marks. Service was fast and friendly, and it wasn’t overly crowded like most DC brunch spots. Will definitely come back.
